Mountain Hike to the Sonnenstein

This extended full-day hike leads through the impressive alpine pasture landscape of Scheffau and is aimed at hikers in good physical condition. Along the way, there is the opportunity to stop for refreshments at a hut. The highlight is a refreshing swim stop at Hintersteiner See lake with exclusive lake access, a special nature experience far away from everyday life.
Approx. 650 m elevation gain | approx. 13 km | Young people/children aged 14 and over accompanied by their parents (must be sure-footed)
Registration: by 5 p.m. the day before online or at a tourist information office in the Wilder Kaiser region
Participants: min. 3, max. 15 people
Equipment: Good physical condition, good footwear, sun & rain protection, hiking poles, drinks and snacks for the trail, and some cash for refreshments
Cost: € 20.00 per person | Payment online directly upon booking
Duration: 9:00 a.m. to approx. 4:00 p.m.
Meeting point: Scheffau Tourist Info Office, Dorf 28, 6351 Scheffau
Difficulty: Moderate, total walking time approx. 5 hours. The mountain tour requires good physical condition and experience walking on root-covered paths.

The guided hikes change weekly between the Alpine pastures & lake hike and the Mountain tour to the Sonnenstein
Cancellation fee: Cancellation is free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the activity program, after that 100% of the costs will be charged. If the program does not take place, there are no cancellation fees.
